The Old Covenant Mosaic Law pointed to the New Covenant Kingdom that Jesus Christ would bring. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the purpose of the Mosaic Law of the Old Covenant, and how the law of Christ goes beyond the law of Old. Brother Larson says we have a higher responsibility today under the New Covenant, but we can still learn from the law of Old. We are to be dead to the law, because we now have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction in our life. The believer today is now responsible to Christ to live a righteous life by faith in Him alone.
