Great things you will suffer for my namesake. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and how He deals with hearts and lives. The Apostle Paul needed this anointing of the Holy Spirit especially following his former persecution of the church; lacking acceptance, it was difficult for him to come into Jerusalem and minister. The Lord even warned him that they would not receive your testimony of me. As he taught, time and again, he would testify as to what God was doing, but he wasn't necessarily a member in good standing of the church. God called Paul to teach the depravity of man without God. Paul experienced rejection and opposition for the entirety of his ministry.
