Trying to live a victorious Christian life in any way outside of faith in Christ and Him crucified will become a law or work in the life of a believer. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 7:6, discussing how everyone is born in law and any and all law will only lead to death. The strength of sin is the law. It is a mirror to reflect to man his sinfulness. But when we are in Christ the law dies, and we have a new source of life and living, which is the Holy Spirit who can only work through the finished work of the Cross. This is the only way to live a victorious Christian life.
