A Study In The Word

Church in America is almost exclusively the Gentile church. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the privileges that all of us have in the New Covenant in Christ; i.e. promises. But does the little tiny nation of people, Israel, receive a benefit in the future, given by God, that Gentiles don’t receive? It doesn’t make them better or worse, it just simply means they are given a particular prerogative or responsibility. God has honored this nation, and America has stood behind Israel. Brother Swaggart believes this is one of the reasons God has honored our nation, and blessed it. The United States is far ahead of Israel in about every way that we could think, spiritually included. They are special, as Paul says in Romans eleven for the Father’s sake; in Zechariah, he says, those that would harm Israel are harming the apple of His eye. There is something unique about these people. In the Millennium, the Jews will be brought back from the nations of the world, then we will see the Gentiles being brought into the priesthood, and operating as priests. This suggests there will be some ministerial responsibilities for all that will be comparable to the Jews.
