Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the false teaching of the new age religion, which is rooted in magic and ascending in spiritual plains and talking to the dead. One false teacher says this is the next Pentecost, all in an effort to achieve something we don't already have. This teaching goes directly against the teaching of the message of the Cross, which says we rest in what has already been done for us. The panel goes on to discuss the false teachings that have always been predominant in the church, which pulls the believer away from the rest they have in the finished work of Christ and drives them to work for what Christ already purchased on our behalf on Calvary's Cross.
