God knows every sparrow that falls and He numbers the very hairs on our heads. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how God controls all. With regards to kingdoms, the Lord gives and sets men in position in whatever way He so desires. Brother Swaggart says that shows us that God is running the show; and the church, under the New Covenant has a tremendous sway regarding world events. If the church is weak, and doesn’t know what intercessory prayer is, believers will not seek the will of God, and will not recognize or experience the moving and operation of the Holy Spirit. The situation can become dire very quickly; the Lord has given the church tremendous responsibility in this age. Brother Swaggart believes our current situation in the world today has much to do with the state of the church. Just as He did with Nebuchadnezzar, God gets our attention, in one way or another, to get us to see our spiritual need.
