Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel’s concern for Israel. He doesn’t just expect God to move, he sets up a prayer meeting, and a fast. He prays, Lord, do what you have promised and repented himself. Daniel never does anything separate from that concern. This is the man who’s been in captivity for ninety years and still thinks about the time of the evening sacrifice. When Israel was blessed by God, the entire world of that day was blessed. Their blessing depended on Israel. When the church today is on fire for God, everything works better. If the church loses its way, the nation loses its way. Brother Swaggart says the Gospel has not remained dominant. It’s no longer influencing, as it did even twenty years ago. So we, like Daniel, have to be concerned about the overall strength, health, and activity of the body of Christ, and be praying that the church will take the Gospel forth, for one last great harvest before the return of Christ.
