Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss Romans 1:2, teaching to the new believers, many Gentiles; tying the Old Covenant to the New. Brother Swaggart says the Apostle Paul was striving to reveal to the believers there were not two gospels. Just as the church struggled with Paul’s message at this time in the early church, Brother Larson says many in modern scholarship today reject much of Paul’s teaching with regards to sin. Even Jesus told His followers, there are things you are not ready to understand; God revealed these things to Paul. His teachings were, as Christ said, hard for them to understand even then. The Apostle Paul was speaking the voice and Words of Christ in order to bring the church to a full understanding of Christ crucified; not accepting the Apostle Paul, is not accepting the Words of Christ.
