Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss what it means to “die daily”. The Apostle Paul teaches how we are to be crucified with Christ; he said, in me, which is in my flesh, dwells no good thing. So when Paul has the concept of death in mind, it’s death to the thought, that he could produce righteousness through anything that he did. It had to be done for him, and it had to be done to him. This means we daily accept what Christ has done on the Cross in order for righteousness to be implanted and even produced by God Himself in us. We can’t produce it. We are fallen creatures. Paul said, in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing; only, when we are in Christ, will we find life.
