He didn’t get righteousness for believing God for a son, but he believed God for His plan to bring in a nation of souls through his lineage; ushering in the lineage of Jesus Christ. It’s not our plan, but God’s plan. This is the example of how we receive from God. When we believe at salvation, we are raised with Him in newness of life. (Romans 6:4 & 5)
