God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 5:25. We learn many things as we go through the great book of Daniel; that God is the one who sets up kingdoms and pulls down kingdoms. Belshazzar had no regard for the Lord whatsoever. Why would God allow him to go to the throne? Brother Swaggart says, because God is God; He could have changed the situation in any number of ways. Satan is the Prince of the Powers of the air, and the god of this present world. God allows Satan to have his way at certain times, as it regards the heads of empires, cities, and of nations. God will also allow people to have their way as well. Israel, God’s people, desired to have a king like the other nations; they wanted and got Saul.
