The kingdom is departed from you. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the Book of Daniel, and God’s warning to Nebuchadnezzar. A stipulation of judgment is repeated to the king. During his twelve month period of respite, he discounted this dire prediction; thinking that such a strange thing could never come to pass. The Bible, and all of its warnings and pleadings go out to the whole of humanity. We see this warning fulfilled through Nebuchadnezzar, as the king's mind snaps immediately after the command is heard from heaven. God will go to great lengths to bring a person to their senses; He gave the king a year to repent. Brother Swaggart asks, how long has the Lord given you? God will always turn a righteous ear to a person who comes sincerely before Him with a broken and contrite Spirit.
