Are you seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues? Today on a Study in the Word, in Acts 1:4, Brother Swaggart and panel explains how this is a separate work in a believer’s life. Brother Loren Larson says we must rely on the Holy Spirit for everything; thus after getting saved, a believer should seek to be filled by the Spirit. He makes it clear, the Holy Spirit does come into a believer at Salvation, but he’s referring to a separate work. Brother Swaggart explains how the infilling of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit will give the believer that much more after Salvation for the service work of God. Brother Larson says while the power enhances service, but most importantly, the Holy Spirit also draws the believer closer to God, which, in turn, helps the believer to overcome sin. Brother Don Paul Gray shares the skepticism he experienced in school against the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
