Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel explain the new relationship found in Christ, through the born again experience, where the believer is given righteousness. How to walk in that righteousness is the same way that we received it. It is not by works, that we should boast, but it is by faith in what Christ did at the Cross for us. Now, the Holy Spirit is working in us, so we should expect as a result of that, to see good works performed. But they are not performed with the motivation that I am earning something from God, they’re done as a result of God working in me to do His righteousness. Jesus Christ fulfilled all law when He died on Calvary’s Cross. Reading Romans 10:4, scripture tells us, Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to them that believe.
