We have unparalleled help in Christ when we look solely to Him. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss the persecution of the Apostle Paul for the cause of Christ. He was stoned, beaten, and shipwrecked; but we, like Paul, can be encouraged in this fight of faith, that sanctifying peace comes to every person that names the name of Christ. It is a peace that passes all understanding. Brother Josh says too many Christians today are bombarded with depression and anxiety. We must remember we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood. We are in a battle to fight the good fight of faith. The more God is using us the more opposition we’re going to face. Satan will come against the believer as we try to push forward. The resistance we run into is opposition from the enemy. We are in a spiritual battle; the powers of darkness and fear are oppressing many. We are not to have a spirit of fear, but of a sound mind in the Lord. Christ will dispel this misfortune; reading in Philippians 4:6-7, in everything by prayer and supplication call on the name of the Lord. He will give us sanctifying peace.
