The Cross of Christ exposes man’s need for a Savior; there is no room for elitism. Everything that Christ accomplished at Calvary fulfilled every law and ritual of religion. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the mixture of grace and works. You cannot function in law and the Cross at the same time, the Cross cancels works, i.e., law out. We have a New Covenant in Christ Jesus. The Cross of Christ covers our sins, past, present, and future. It demands our faith be exclusively in the finished work of Christ. Nothing else can pay the price for the sins of man; faith anchored in His sacrifice alone, will bring the believer a victorious Christian walk. It’s salvation and sanctification all inclusive, by faith. The Cross covered it all.
