Sin makes the heart unclean. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Psalm 51:8-11 discussing David’s sin that was forgiven by God. Looking at contrition and restoration, Brother Swaggart reminds the ills of unconfessed sin. If rebellion persists God will take away His presence, as David prayed, take not thy Holy Spirit from me. David was humble before the Lord; once God forgives us of sin, we should not live our lives in condemnation; now, we can live in the grace of God and the forgiveness He has given us. Jesus Christ took upon Himself all the sin of the world at Calvary’s Cross.
