Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss God’s redemption plan. In Genesis 3:15, God declared in the garden that there was a Redeemer coming. In that time frame, in the third chapter, he reveals to Adam and Eve the sacrificial system. The way of salvation has now been made clear. There is a Redeemer coming, and it is tied to a sacrifice. In chapter four, we find Abel practicing the sacrificial system, offering the right sacrifice; Cain, however, offers the wrong one. The knowledge of how to live for God had been given to Adam and Eve. It’s passed on through the line of Seth, and we see that as we go through the bible chronologically. All the men that lived for God, Noah and Enoch, were from the line of Seth. It’s obvious that God’s Redemption plan was at the very core of their existence; Brother Larson says that had to stem from their knowledge that came from the first family’s instructions from God Himself.
