WAKE UP, YOU’VE OVERSLEPT- Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Paris Ragan reads Romans 13:11-14, and that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Pastor Paris preaches how believers must be awakened to the reality of the times in which we live. Do we see what’s going on in front of us, or are we just sleep walking through life? Could you imagine waking up in Heaven and you wasted your entire time on this earth? The Apostle Paul tells us that we need to present our lives as a living sacrifice, and the next thing he teaches is the gifts of the Spirit for the ministry. When we get saved and filled with the Spirit, Jesus Christ is the distributor of the gifts of God. The Holy Spirit is the power source that brings it to us at salvation, and when we get filled with the Spirit, the Holy Spirit then comes and gives us a gift. This is something He has given us to do; we have a calling, it is something that He has for us to fulfill in this lifetime. These gifts are for the kingdom of God. They’re not for this world, these gifts for the building up of the body of Christ.
