MATCH YOUR CONDUCT WITH YOUR FAITH— Today at Crossfire, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Galatians 5:22-23 continuing with his series on the fruit of the Spirit. Pastor Gabe says take note that it’s fruit, singular. As we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, all these things will grow in us. This is progressive sanctification in the believer’s life, as the Holy Spirit is working within us to bring our character up to match our faith. These characteristics are not done on our own strength and ability. The Lord didn’t say this is the fruit of self. From a Christian point of view, we are different. We are not like the world, our character make up is different because of what Christ has done for us and our acceptance of that. We have a different character than our neighbor who is unsaved. People should look at the saved and wonder about this thing called Christianity.
