A REPAIRED ALTAR WILL BRING RAIN- Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Paris Ragan reads 1st Kings 18:37-41 teaching on the things that equate to the altar of Baal, which are anything that is lifted up in place of the Cross of Christ. In the presence of hundreds of prophets of Baal and the king himself standing with them, Elijah says I’m going to prove to you tonight who is God, and who isn’t God, and they were all coming to offer sacrifice. Both were building altars for sacrifice, Pastor Paris warns, be careful of the altar you stand around; if you’re adding anything to the altar, you’re making a new god out of it. Elijah looks at the people and says how long will you stand halt between two opinions. Too many are trying to keep one toe in the church, doing just enough to still be right with God, but adding your own vision for your life, your own dream, your own desires, and you don’t want to give anything up to follow Him. How long stand ye halt between two opinions? While the whole nation wanted rain, Elijah was looking at the altar. They wanted God to answer, but Elijah was staring at that altar, and he saw the altar needed some repair, some attention. Pastor Paris asks, the body of Christ, you, your heart, do you need to give some attention to the altar?
