WITHHOLDING NOTHING- We were all created by God to worship. Tonight at Crossfire, Crossfire Worship Leader, Emily Murphy reads Genesis 22:1-5 teaching on worship. God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, the promised son that God had given him; the son, he had longed for. Abraham responds to God’s request in obedience, despite the request he didn’t truly understand. This is true worship, obeying God even when we don’t feel like it. We must trust God’s character over our circumstances. Abraham knew God was going to keep His word. And that’s what God did; He provided a ram for the sacrifice instead. Abraham did not withhold, even his most cherished son; our obedience matters. Worship is laying down anything and everything, doing what God asks of us, and trusting God will work it all out for our good. God wants our whole hearts.
