THE PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION— People take note of a believer’s walk. Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Ephesians 1: 15-19; wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus. Paul is saying, I heard of your faith, that is anchored in Jesus Christ; who He is and what He’s done. Paul goes on to say, that the eyes of your understanding being enlightened. In other words, illuminated. Paul is asking the Holy Spirit, and praying, that the Holy Spirit would illuminate three important things to the church of Ephesus. Those three things are important to all believers then and now: one; that we realize who we are in Christ, two; that we know we are valued by God, and three; that when our faith is anchored in Christ we have the power of the Holy Spirit living inside us.
