YOU HAVE BACKUP IN YOUR JURISDICTION— So, what are you afraid of? Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Adam Denoon preaches from II Corinthians 10:1-7; be encouraged, and know, that God has called you to a particular task. You know that He’s spoken to you, but in this thing called life there are some very large, scary obstacles that can stand in the way of what God wants to do in our lives. These are very real things that we have to face. We find in God’s Word, the Apostle Paul had been whipped, beaten, stoned nearly to death, shipwrecked, imprisoned, and falsely accused; but through the Lord’s power, he followed God’s calling on his life and successfully established a church in Corinth. Thereafter, false teachers came in and misled the people unto themselves, away from Paul’s teachings. Brother Denoon reminds us how the Apostle Paul heeded God’s call and stayed true to his specific call, i.e. jurisdiction. As believers, we must not step outside of our jurisdiction/calling; if we do, we will end up relying on our own strength to accomplish the work of God and not reliant on the Holy Spirit.
