RIGHTEOUSNESS, TEMPERANCE, AND JUDGMENT TO COME- The religious will be the first to attack the work of God, but God will get the glory in our trials. Tonight Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Acts 24:24-25, sharing how the Apostle Paul dealt with the religious of his day. Just as the Nation of Israel crucified Christ, their evil pride wanted to kill the Apostle Paul. His main opposition didn’t come from the world, but the church. When we stand for the Cross, we will see the same. Sometimes family and friends will be the first to interrupt our walks called by God. Even as Paul was standing before an opposing, hard hearted, Governor Felix, God gave him the opportunity to share the Gospel. We never know whom God will put before us to share the love of Jesus. God may be dealing with their heart at the very moment He chooses you to give them the truth. The Apostle had to give the man a hard blow; telling him, his righteousness is not his own. It cannot be earned with God; we have an imputed righteousness when we believe on what Christ did on Calvary’s Cross.
