THE GREATEST DOWN PAYMENT THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Crossfire Associate Pastor Shaun Murphy reads Ephesians 1:3-14 as he teaches on our great gift of salvation. Pastor Shaun walks us through the patriarchs of the Old Covenant, explaining how none of them could sit down in the seat for fallen humanity. Only our perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, could. Jesus went to the Cross for Jew and Gentile alike. God created a forever Covenant with humanity, but right at the beginning of the story Adam and Eve end it. No human could restore this Covenant, only God Himself could. By our faith in the New Covenant Christ cut on the Cross, we now are adopted sons and daughters. Jesus Christ, the second Adam would not fail. We have an everlasting Covenant when we are found in Christ. We only have to believe, and we are heirs of His inheritance. Because we are in this Covenant, we can enjoy all its benefits. We walk in this down payment now because we already have a touch of the glorified body we will receive in heaven. Be encouraged, we can taste today, many of the promises we will have when we make glory. This is our Covenant as Christians if we will only believe.
