THE PROMISE AND THE PRONOUNCEMENT- Today Pastor Gabriel Swaggart encourages us from the Book of Joshua. In chapter one verses one through nine, he depicts the transition of God’s people over the Jordan river from the wilderness to the Promise Land. He reminds how Moses could not enter in because he represented the Law; but Joshua, a type of Christ was chosen by God to enter in. Brother Gabe reminds, it’s one thing to be delivered as Israel was, but it’s another thing to have victory. While Joshua, was first inclined to mourn the death of Moses, the Holy Spirit said, get up and cross over the Jordan. Joshua had three promises of God; one, to arise and take the land, two, a promise of victory against his foes, and three, to rest in the Promise that will not fail you or forsake you. Brother Gabe encourages us to possess our promises, claim them, and rest knowing we will have victory when we do things God’s way.
