Tonight, at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Acts 1:4-8 teaching on the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Gabe explains the three baptisms for the believer. First, at salvation, we are immersed into the person of Christ, baptized into Christ by faith. Then, water baptism is an outward expression, a sign of the salvation that has already happened in our hearts. Third, the Spirit baptism is a second work of grace, and can come on any believer who asks. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is always evidenced initially with the speaking in other tongues. Pastor Gabe explains how this second, powerful work will help every believer to fulfill the call of God on their lives by fulfilling the Great Commission to go tell the great things God has done.
