Christ alone sets the captive free. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Hebrews 3:1 and Colossians 2:14 & 15, discussing the delivering power of God through the finished work of Christ. The panel explains how psychology is not man’s answer for the power of sin. Those promoting secular fields and definitions in the world and in the church do not understand the spiritual makeup of mankind; i.e., our sin nature. We must use biblical definitions alone. Only faith in Christ’s death on Calvary’s Cross can usher in the power of the Holy Spirit to give us victory over sin in our lives. Brother Swaggart says too many churches are in unbelief as to how the power of God works; only the Cross of Christ can atone for the sin of man.
