He who sanctifies; we are in His family as Brethren at salvation. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Hebrews 2:11-12 discussing the power of the Cross. At salvation, the believer is washed, sanctified, and justified. Many church leaders fail to teach all that is accomplished at the Cross and so the new Christian seeks out ways to rid sin in their life through works and fads instead of resting on their faith being anchored in Christ. This is the only way to live a victorious Christian life. Pastor Dave Watts says we need to learn how to live in the freedom that was purchased for us by Christ on the Cross. Brother Joseph says if all God’s preachers would preach the truth of the Cross the Holy Spirit within every believer will reach out and take hold of it because the Spirit will lead us into truth when we seek it.
