The titles of Apostle and Prophet, have been abused in the Church today. With men, at times, in pride, giving themselves these titles. All positions of authority God puts us in are to be found in humility. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the gifts and operation of the Holy Spirit; primarily explaining the fivefold ministry, that includes the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and teacher. An Apostle is one who is sent. Brother Donnie says a true Apostle can be identified by the message they preach; often times, it has been a lost message of truth, that God wants brought back to the church. The Apostle Paul was called the Apostle of Grace, the Holy Spirit gave him the understanding and teaching of Christ and Him Crucified. In Christ, we are sealed and have eternal hope in the Gospel. Brother Smith shares God’s words in Romans 8; scripture tells us that nothing can remove us from the love of God, except ourselves. We must keep our faith in Christ Crucified until we join Him in Glory.
