Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the celebration of Christmas, and just how should Christians recognize the birth of Christ. Brother Carl Brown shares how he did a special once on how to preserve the Spirit of Christmas. Brother Brown says we should teach children and explain to them why we are celebrating Christ’s birth. As for gift giving, the panel acknowledges it is a part of many celebrations as it gives a blessing to someone; but often gifting at Christmas is over done. Brother Jim Nations says at Christmas we see more crime, loneliness and suicide. Brother Dave Smith says he’d like to see people give, as well, to Jesus and someone who is in need. Dr. Gray says over the years, he’s enjoyed reading the story of Christmas to his children. Sister Swaggart says it’s a time to thank the Lord and worship Him for HIS gift.
