Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss Jesus rebuking a demon spirit to come out of a boy who could not hear or speak, reading from Mark 9:14-29. Brother Donnie says, you notice how the demon spirit reacted immediately to the command of Christ, but not to His disciples. He says even the demons know every knee must bow to Christ. The disciples were somewhat limited at this time, but after Pentecost, they had the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, and their work for Christ was much greater. Brother Donnie encourages us to read the Gospels and compare them, one to another, gleaning from them. The panel discusses unbelief; and how if continued, will result in acts of sin and disobedience. He encourages us to live a "fasted lifestyle"; that being, while fasting is a denial of physical food for a time, he is speaking of seeking Spiritual food, to feed our souls and Spirits with the things of God every day.
