A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Today on Frances and Friends, Pastor Donnie Swaggart and panel discuss temptation, reading from James 1:13-16. Brother Donnie says temptation is before everyone, every day. Temptation itself is not sin, but acting on it, or dwelling on it continually, is sin. The sin nature is present in a believer’s life, but should not have dominion in our lives. Sin, when it is finished, will bring forth death. Sin will spiritually separate us from God if it is not repented of. By anchoring our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, we can be free from the control of sin. We must be crucified with Christ so Satan is no longer a threat with his tempting’s. We can find rest in the Cross of Christ, as the Holy Spirit works on our behalf to make us into the image of Christ.
