If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss God’s forgiveness and how believers will still stumble and must repent of sin. Reading Zechariah chapter 3, we see the example of Joshua and his need for change. Brother Mike reminds us that only God can change us. We are sanctified at salvation, but there is a lifelong process that the believer will be progressively sanctified into the image of Christ. This is done, by anchoring our faith in the finished work of Christ. He is faithful and just to forgive His children. Reading Galatians 2:7-8, the panel discusses circumcision; this scripture is addressing Peter’s calling to reach the Jews, the circumcised, and Paul’s calling was to reach the Gentiles, the uncircumcised. Then and now, we are not to turn to law for our salvation or for our life and living for Him. Anything that is not of faith is sin.
