Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the Illinois Governor’s push for a state law that would allow non-citizens of the United States the right to serve in Illinois law enforcement. Brother Smith says the effort to defund the police, in recent years, has catapulted our country’s need for more police, but Sister Swaggart says this is not the way to do it. All officers need to become citizens first and pledge their allegiance to the United States. The panel goes on to discuss a grand jury vote in Washington that approved felony charges against former President Donald Trump. Trump faces four federal charges arising out of a probe by special counsel Jack Smith. The charges include conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy to deprive citizens of the “free exercise” of their constitutional rights. Brother Donnie says this is nothing more than a witch-hunt to sour the minds of voters ahead of the next Presidential election and to silence the conservative voice.
