Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the important ordinance of communion in a church service. Communion is done in remembrance of what Jesus Christ did for us on Calvary’s Cross. Brother Donnie says we need to be careful not to make the action of taking communion a work. Every day the believer is called to take up the Cross daily, by faith; recognizing what Christ did at Calvary is a lifestyle, and that is communion with Christ. Brother Steele reminds that a religious spirit can be very detrimental and often results in pride. The panel goes on to discuss gambling and how it can often lead to addiction. Brother Donnie says every believer is called to set an example to the world, and should be very careful with their liberty of what they do, and don’t do, as many activities, like gambling, could lead to a stumbling block for others. (1 Corinthians 6:12)
