Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Romans 5:1-5 discussing the testing of the believer and how our trials can result in the fruit of the Spirit. God sees all; He can give us hope, peace, and joy through all we go through. He is our strength. The panel discusses the Protestant Reformation and the false doctrine of the Catholic Church, looking at the structure of the priesthood, the idolization of Mary, and the giving of indulgences to pay for man's sin. Jesus Christ paid the debt for all sin on Calvary's Cross; it is a price no man can pay. The gifts of the Spirit were many in the early church in Corinth, but it was a very immature church. Brother Dupree explains how every believer is to grow in their walk and see the fruit of the Spirit cultivated. All believers will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ, this is where Christ will survey our motives in the work of God and give rewards accordingly.
