The panel reads Ezekiel 28:14-17 discussing Satan’s role initially as God’s anointed, lead, worship angel, and how Satan’s pride and revolt caused him to be cast out of heaven by God. Reading Isaiah 14:12, Jeremiah 4:23-26, 2nd Peter 3:5-6, and Revelation 12:7, scripture is clear, Satan fell. This time of Satan’s fall, with a third of the angels, likely occurred between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. This is what caused a cataclysmic event, and many resolve that any pre-Adamite creation that was in existence had been ruined. Dr. Gray says with atheism on the rise today, it is important for the believer to understand as much of the Word of God as possible and God’s plan; through the searching out of scripture, it is important to be able to teach the full council of God in the fight of faith, but believing or not believing the Gap Theory in no way effects a person’s salvation.
