Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read in the first chapter of Galatians discussing the Apostle Paul’s teachings and warnings of the Judaizers trying to lead the Galatians astray with a work's salvation. The panel discusses the Sabbath law for the Jew of the Old Covenant and how that changed over time. In Deuteronomy, Moses reinstates the Sabbath, meaning the Sabbath was to remind the children of Israel of their deliverance from Egyptian bondage. In the New Covenant, the Apostle Paul had a great challenge to teach to the Gentile and the Jew that Jesus Christ is now the Sabbath rest. When we believe in Christ, we are keeping the Sabbath because He is our Sabbath rest. The panel discusses the call of God on the elders of the church reading Titus 1:7. The panel goes on to read several scriptures that confirm that alcohol has no place in the life of a believer. When one does drink alcohol, he or she is allowing their liberty to be a stumbling block to another believer.
