The Israel we see today is not the Israel of the Bible. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the historical mapping of the land of Israel and those who have inhabited it since God gave the Abrahamic Covenant. God set the boundaries, despite many who came and left the over the centuries. The Covenant with Abraham was to stand, and with Joshua’s entrance into the land of promise, God said drive out the interlopers. The borders of the land earmarked by God for the children of Judah, the Jewish nation, can be read in Joshua chapter 15. Understanding Bible prophecy is important, and that includes understanding God’s promise He made to Abraham. (Genesis 12:7). The panel lays out the history that led to the naming of the land that is now called Palestine, addressing 3500 B.C. to 1917. Brother Dupree goes on to teach on the Ottoman Empire loss after World War I, and Israel’s declaration of independence and in 1948; and yet, she still gave up the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
