Every believer has a part to play in the furthering of the gospel. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss the third Book of John with regards to serving the Lord and being obedient to His call in our lives. God has promised that He will help us finish this journey of life; if we support God, we will prosper. This isn’t always financial prosperity, but we will prosper in more ways than one. Woe unto him who gives his neighbor strong drink and make them drunk. Jesus would have been sinning if in His first miracle, He turned water to alcoholic wine. He did not. It was non-alcoholic wine. In the Bible fermentation was a symbol of sin; anything with leaven or fermentation was forbidden. Brother Donnie reads Proverbs 31:1-6 the words of Solomon. He said it is not for kings and princes to imbibe strong drink for the clarity of thinking will be diminished. Brother Donnie says the Bible is clear that alcoholic beverages have no place in the life of the believer.
