All we do, in word or deed, we do in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read Colossians 3:17 encouraging the believer in the way God has given us. The panel discusses God's timing in a believer's life and that His timetable is sometimes a wait; learning patience is important. Satan doesn't give up easily. Moses and Aaron went before Pharaoh seven times for the release of the Israelites. The Lord will allow delays to strengthen our faith and teach us dependence on Him. The panel explains fasting and its purpose; how it can help the believer, but it can also become a law if done with the wrong motive. Seeking the Lord on fasting is a must, as we are denying the physical man food but feeding our spiritual man with the things of God. Brother Steele says fasting is a personal thing, led by the Holy Spirit; it is not to be done as an attention seeking act or something we boast to others about.
