Today on Frances and Friends, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Colossians 3:17-19 discussing the divine order of a believer's home. Because we love the Lord, we should show the same love to our spouse; Brother Donnie says this is sometimes not the case when a believer is married to an unbeliever. The panel discusses the beginnings of early Christianity under the preaching and teachings of Pastors Parham, Seymour and Durham focusing in on the Doctrine of the Trinity and the baptismal formula. The panel discusses one of the incorrect doctrines of the Seventh Day Adventists who believe scripture says we are to have church on Saturdays. The early church worshiped on the first day of the week, which was Sunday. The Sabbath day was given in the Old Covenant for a day of physical rest. Today, we are under the New Covenant where Christ fulfilled the Sabbath and all Law at the Cross. Now, He is our rest. The keeping of the Sabbath is not a moral law as the other nine commandments; those nine are the laws that address the morality of God through Christ's death on Calvary where the moral laws of the Old Covenant have been expanded.
