If our faith is right, we will have proper love. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and the panel discuss the teachings in the Book of Philemon. Brother Donnie says there is maturity in the faith that should be evidenced in our lives. In teaching and preaching, pastors must have patience and be encouraging to people along the way. Brother Smith encourages all to have faith in the hearers of the Word, that they will, in turn, go out and plant seeds of faith. If our love toward the Lord is correct, then our love toward our fellow man will be correct. The panel goes on to explain how to do the what to do. This speaks of solely putting our trust and faith in the finished work of Christ, where we can know the benefits of the Cross and not the benefits of self-efforts. There is not a “to do” list to follow; all we need “to do” is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, then we will have the victory we are searching for. We must take up His Cross daily and follow Him.
