Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss James 1:23-24, discussing being a hearer and a doer of the Word. Brother Donnie says this does not mean activity. James here is saying properly placed faith in Christ crucified will result in the Holy Spirit working on our behalf. The panel discusses the sin of anger, and how it’s not correct to avoid angry situations or people. The Bible says we should fellowship with others. Brother Donnie says oftentimes anger is the result of misplaced faith. Sometimes there is a Godly anger for the things that are against the ways of God. In Matthew 21, Christ was so angry with the religious leaders in the Temple that he drove the people out with a whip; this was a righteous anger.
