Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel discuss how Christians will be held accountable by voting in elections. Brother Donnie says any Christian who votes for a candidate that supports abortion and same sex marriage is committing a sin. The panel agrees believers will be held accountable to vote as God would want them to vote. To an emailer, questioning the purpose of tongues; Acts 2 tells us, all believers can acquire a prayer language, that given in an unknown language.
This is to build up the believer and glorify God, as God is the only one who can understand what is being said. As for tongues as a gift for the church body, when a word is given to someone during the church service in an unknown tongue, they share it in tongues, and then they or someone else will be given the interpretation, and then it is shared in the language of the congregation so they can be blessed by what message God had for them.
Sister Swaggart says the believer needs to refresh and refuel with the power of the Holy Spirit. In Psalms 3:4, Brother Smith says the Shepard brings the sheep through a valley to get to a better pasture.
