We love Him, because He first loved us. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel read 1 John 4:19-21, discussing how we love the brethren. Brother Donnie says we must love God first to correctly love others. The Word says if we say we love God, but hate our brother, then we are a liar. The panel discusses how a believer cannot be demon possessed, reading 1 John 4:4, which clearly states, greater is He that is in a believer than he that is in the world. A demon spirit cannot co-reside with the Holy Spirit. The panel discusses the spiritual problems of men, which stem from the heart. Psychology is rooted in humanism. Brother Jonathan says all too often, even Christian counselors and biblical counselors do not believe the Word of God is sufficient alone for man’s ills, and they bring in aids from psychology. God’s Word is more than able to address every problem of man. If we are battling depression or anxiety get our hearts on praise and thanksgiving it will get our focus off of our external problems and He will fill our minds with better things.
