The sinner is to believe, and the saint is to confess. Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and the panel discuss 1 John 1:9, explaining how there must be ongoing repentance for sin that develops in a believer’s life after salvation. Brother Donnie says we should live our lives with a contrite heart and bring to the Lord all our sin. When a new sin arises, we have personal enmity with God, but with repentance, He’ll restore us. Brother Donnie reminds us that this is not repenting again for past sins, but repenting for present ones. The panel shares their disappointment over President Biden’s State of the Union address; saying he played it safe, with many middle of the road comments not leaning one way or another, with no comments on America's stance against China. With regards to Russia’s war on Ukraine, the panel says Biden has done nothing, and should not be claiming to have helped in the matter.
