Today on Frances and Friends, Sister Swaggart and panel address the Gap doctrine. The panel explains that something happened between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Brother Mike Muzzerall offers Psalm 18:2 to show what God does is perfect; he reminds, God created a perfect world. But the perfect world in verse one, somehow becomes dark and void in verse two, which is a sign of judgment. Sister Frances offers Job 38:4-7 where a great celebration is referencing the initial earth, a place that was created to be inhabited. In Ezekiel 28:12-15, Lucifer was one of God’s most anointed creations and he, in pride, wanted to be God. In Lucifer’s effort to take control over God’s creation, he is cast down by God and takes a third of the angels with him and the created beings, of that time, rejected God and fell as well. This is when the cataclysmic event took place and resulted in Genesis 1:2.
